The station is located at an altitude of 1000-1050 m.a.s.l. It is a beech forest (Fagus sylvatica) with hazelnut trees (Corylus avellana). The UTM grid of 1 km² where the boxes are located is characterised by a high forest cover with deciduous forests dominating. There are also both stone walls and abandoned, habitable huts. In addition, cavities formed by deformities and holes made by the picidae can be found in some trees.
